Exton Potatoes

These potatoes make wonderful potato cakes, par-boil in their skins for about ten minutes, instead of grating raw and squeezing out, cool, skin and grate, lovely seperate strands and no mush or density. Best I have found for this purpose.

First time I tried these I was not really expecting anything out of the ordinary but they roasted so well. The centre was as soft as and the edges were crispy and delightfully golden. With deep sadness I went to order some more but they had already sold out. Good news is that I have two left that I will have with roast lamb and mint sauce today.

Excellent potato for double Hasselback potato. Crispy outside and fluffy inside. Also makes super fluffy mash with only butter, salt, white pepper and nutmeg. They boil so quickly and put through a ricer have excellent texture. Very versatile and flavoursome.

The Exton potatoes are great but have only cooked them a couple of times since receiving them a week and a half ago as using the Maris Piper also. The Exton, I part cooked, skins on in microwave and then finished off dry roasting them in oven till just right. Beautiful flavour and will do as roast potatoes next. Yum yum!!! All your potatoes are great and love knowing I can put a name to the variety. Thanks again.
